Canada Day
in Ottawa

So, you have decided to celebrate Canada Day in Ottawa this year? Is this your first time or do you always celebrate it here? If it is your first time or your 25th time, you won't be disappointed as there is always a lot to do around the city.

There are events being held all over the city in various neighbourhoods. If you have a Canada Day event to share in your neighbourhood, please add it here. We used to always spend our Canada Days downtown but, since we have had a family, we usually stay closer to home!

For information on the activites downtown for July 1, 2011, please check the National Capital Commission's website for last minute details.

Other Canada Day events around Ottawa

• most of the Ottawa Museums around Ottawa will be holding various events and activities for people of all ages

• National Arts Centre will be holding free performances all day long

• Saunders Farm
  • 7893 Bleeks Road, Munster (just follow the signs)
  • Open 10am - 5pm

• and many other activities (some local community associations have listed some events further down the page).
