Christmas in Ottawa

Welcome to Christmas in Ottawa! We love Ottawa at Christmastime. It is such a magical time of year! The Christmas trees are all lit with beautiful, twinkling lights, there are decorations on houses and street corners and there are entire families outside playing in the snow.

There isn't anywhere else we would rather be for Christmas.

If you are spending Christmas in Ottawa then we are pleased to tell you that there is so much for you to do. There are activities and festivities for all age groups. Once Christmas is all over, don't forget that there are still Ottawa New Year's Eve celebrations to partake in!!

We know that Christmas is a busy time of year and your time is precious so we want to make sure that you make the most of it.

Christmas In Ottawa

Christmas Parades in Ottawa & Surrounding Area

Ottawa - Help Santa Toy Parade
November 19, 2011 - 5pm
The parade will start at 5 PM. at the National Archives on Wellington street. Head East on Wellington Street and then turn right on Bank Street. Continue South on Bank Street then turn left on Laurier Avenue. Continue East on Laurier Avenue to Elgin Street. This is the End Point for the Parade.

Carp - Santa Claus Parade

Parade Route starts at The Diefenbunker (3911 Carp Rd) and follows Carp Road to Juanita Street to Langstaff Drive. Turning Right onto Donald B. Munro Drive to Carp Road finishing back at the Diefenbunker.

Along Laurier Street, starting at the Your Independent Grocer. Ends with a visit with Santa at the Knights of Columbus Hall.

After the parade you are invited to the Community Centre for gingerbread cookie decorating ($2), free hot chocolate, treats and pictures with Santa.

Starting at Independent Grocer and running along Main Street (ending at Carleton Cathcart)
They will be lighting the lights at Village Square Park when the parade is over

Besides parades, there are so many other Christmas activities. There are so many fun activities such as having breakfast with Santa, taking a sleigh ride along beautifully lit streets, enjoying thousands of Christmas lights on various buildings throughout the city, finding hidden crafted treasures at numerous craft shows and so much more.
