Crepella: All about crepes

Sylvie: My favourite crepe from Crepella
I was driving when I heard Adrian on CBC munching on something and admiring it. It turned out it was a crepe. I almost turned the radio off as I have had crepes in Montreal, Toronto, Vancouver, Amsterdam, Paris,... and I never liked them. But I heard crunches and then the descriptions of crepes in a place in Ottawa; so I decided to try it.
I went to Crepella on 2440 Bank Street and tried two different crepes: a dessert one called Sylvie and a snack type. And I loved them. The crepes themselves were very fresh and crisp outside while soft enough inside to be rolled over.
Sylvie (pictured above) had ashta in it, a dairy product made with 2% milk, lots of fresh nuts both whole and crushed, honey, and fresh fruits! I couldn't ask for a better, healthier dessert/meal.
The other one had cheese and fresh, crisp vegetables. They both were great. The place is family run, and the owner was very open to new ideas. He asked if we liked more or less of something, for example. I have become a regular, and I think you will be too. Not convinced? Try it!
