Gatineau Hot Air
The Gatineau Hot Air Balloon Festival takes place every year during the long weekend in September. The event will be held from August 30th to September 2nd, 2013.
The Festival features balloons in different shapes, colours and sizes from different
countries. Some countries that have been represented in the past include Australia,
Germany and the United States. It is spectacular to see the styles of balloons. You will
see balloons of animals, automobiles, people and anything else you can imagine.
The balloons will be in flight usually in the morning from Saturday to Monday (6:30-7:30am) and in the early evening from Friday to Monday (around 6:00pm). Keep in
mind that these times are approximate and depend on the weather.
The Festival offers other activities apart from watching balloons:
- petting zoo
- Finger Eleven will open up the festival on the Friday night at 9pm
- other concerts (for different age groups at different stages)
- face painting
- amusement rides
- Strongest Men Championship
- and more!
The opening hours for the 2013 festival will be listed later in the year.
There are various prices and packages available so the admission prices can be found on the festival's official website. The link to the website is at the bottom of this page.
