Balloon Festival

The Gatineau Hot Air Balloon Festival takes place every year during the long weekend in September. The event will be held from September 3 to 6, 2010.

The Festival features balloons in different shapes, colours and sizes from different countries. Some countries that have been represented in the past include Australia, Germany and the United States. It is spectacular to see the styles of balloons. You will see balloons of animals, automobiles, people and anything else you can imagine.

The balloons will be in flight usually in the morning (6:30-7:30am) and in the early evening (5:30-6:30pm). Keep in mind that these times are approximate and depend on the weather.

The Festival offers other activities apart from watching balloons:

• petting zoo
• Finger Eleven will open up the festival on the Friday night at 9pm
• other concerts (for different age groups at different stages)
• face painting
• amusement rides
• Strongest Men Championship
• fireworks
• and more!
