Gatineau Hot Air Balloon Festival
The Gatineau Hot Air Balloon Festival takes place every year during the long weekend in September. This year it will be held from August 31 to September 3, 2007.
The Festival features balloons in different shapes, colours and sizes from different
countries. Some countries that have been represented in the past include Australia,
Germany and the United States. It is spectacular to see the styles of balloons. You will
see balloons of animals, automobiles, people and anything else you can imagine.
The balloons will be in flight usually in the morning and in the late afternoon. Keep in
mind that these times are approximate and depend on the weather:
- August 31 - evening
- September 1 - morning & evening
- September 2 - morning & evening
- September 3 - morning & evening
The Festival offers other activities apart from watching balloons:
- petting zoo
- Simple Plan will open up the festival on the Friday night
- other concerts (for different age groups at different stages)
- face painting
- amusement rides
- Strongest Men Championship
- fireworks
- and more!
The opening hours of the festival will be announced shortly.
Admission prices will be announced shortly as soon as the information becomes available.
