Ottawa Hospitals

The various Ottawa hospitals offer a vast selection of services to the community. As residents of Ottawa we are very pleased knowing that they offer state of the art facilities.

Children's Hospital of Eastern Ontario (CHEO)

Apart from offering a large number of services to children, youth and their families, CHEO is also a teaching hospital that is affiliated with the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Ottawa.

Queensway Carleton Hospital

The Queensway Carleton Hospital (QCH) is the only hospital in the west end of Ottawa and serves to a population of over 400,000 (this includes residents in the Ottawa Valley as well). The QCH is presently expanding their facilities. At the moment they have 201 beds.

It has three main campuses: the Civic, the General and Riverside. They have specialty centres in cancer, heart, kideny, vision care and rehabilitation services. It is also one of the largest teaching hospitals in Canada.
