Ottawa Museums

Do you want to visit one of the Ottawa Museums? Are you going with the family or on your own? We are pleased to tell you that there is an excellent selection to choose from.

War:
LeBreton Flats
The new Canadian War Museum opened its doors in May 2005. The exhibits are exceptional - definitely worth a day trip with the family or by yourself.

Agriculture:
Corner of Prince of Wales and Experimental Farm Drive
Agricultural exhibits on a functional farm.

Aviation:
Rockliffe Airport
The history of aviation is exhibited here.

Billings Estate:
2100 Cabot Street
Beautiful, picturesque landmark.

Bytown:
1 Canal Lane
This is the city's oldest community museum. Learn about the construction of Rideau Canal and the history of Ottawa.

Civilization:
100 Laurier Street, Gatineau
Features exhibits on Canadian history including a large indoor collection of totem poles.

Contemporary Photography:
1 Rideau Canal
Canadian photographers show off their stuff.

Currency:
245 Sparks Street
Are you interested in the evolution of money?

Diefenbunker:
3911 Carp Road
In the event of a nuclear crisis during the Cold War, it was designed to house the Canadian Government. Read more about the Diefenbunker.

Hull Ecomuseum:
170 Montcalm Street, Gatineau
Covers the origin of life on earth.

Nature:
240 McLeod Street
Not only are the natural history exhibits informative, the building itself is magnificent.

Science and Technology:
1867 St. Laurent Boulevard
Lots of fun, interactive exhibits here!
