Ottawa Tours
Are you looking for some Ottawa Tours? You can choose between guided or self-guided
and you can also choose between different modes of transportation.
You may prefer to
sit back on a bus and have someone drive you around or you may prefer to hop on a bike
and take your own tour of the city. Have you ever wanted to take a hot air balloon ride
or a carriage ride? Ottawa offers that too.
When friends and family come to visit, we love showing them the sites of our beautiful city on a double decker bus. The
tour guides are always so knowledgeable. Even though we have been over a dozen times
we always learn something new about the city each time we go.
Here is a company that we have used for a double decker bus tour in Ottawa:
Capital Double Decker & Trolley Tours
(through Gray Line Sightseeing)
Kiosk at the corner of Sparks & Metcalfe Street
613-565-5463 or 1-800-594-3310
We called in July 2011 and found out that the best way to order tickets is over the phone. They said their kiosk isn't always manned. They will give you a confirmation number that you can bring with you to the tour.
Would you prefer to take a scenic boat tour on the Ottawa River or the Rideau Canal? There is nothing like it on a hot summers day. Some even offer dinner cruises. Here are a few
boat companies that you may choose from:
Amphibus – Lady Dive Tours Inc.
Sparks & Elgin
613-223-6211
Ottawa Riverboat Co.
613-562-4888
Paul's Boat Lines
613-225-6781
If you would like to board a plane or a hot air balloon and get a bird's eye view
of the city then you have that option as well. We have been on a hot air balloon. It is
such a peaceful way to see the city and with such an unobstructed view.
Air Conquest
613-745-6747
Sky View Hot Air Balloon Flights
613-724-7784
Sundance
613-247-8277
How about a romantic carriage ride? You can see Ottawa in style or celebrate a special occasion.
Lucky Luc

If you are interested in getting some exercise while you see the sights of Ottawa you can
participate in a bike tour instead. You will find more information about the
recreational cycling paths in Ottawa (there are over 170 kilometres to choose from) on our Biking in Ottawa page.
There are plenty of ways to see the city and the sights. Some people prefer to take a map and walk around on their own. Here is a great book on walking tours of Ottawa: Capital Walks: Walking Tours of Ottawa .
Whichever way you choose, we hope you have fun on your Ottawa tour and
you learn something about this great city.
