Ottawa Wedding FavoursOttawa wedding favours are a great tradition at weddings. It's a way for the newlyweds to thank their guests for celebrating their special day with them while providing them with a lasting (or not so lasting) momento. There are SO many options, so we thought we'd start a running list of wedding favour ideas and places to get them in Ottawa. There are a few ways you can go about it. For our wedding, my husband and I decided to do something that related directly to us. My husband's family owned a bison ranch at the time and made their own jerky, which is a really healthy snack alternative, and it was an outdoor wedding on a farm, so it seemed appropriate! More importantly for me, it was UNIQUE! We got creative, printed cards and tied them with twine to bison bars and voila...the guests were thrilled as they are QUITE tasty. You can stay simple or go all out, depending on your budget! If you have suggestions, we would love to hear from you, and we've started off with some great ideas that we have personally experienced: Tree saplings: for an environmentally friendly idea, try handing out saplings. You can order them in bulk from a nursery and if you wrap the container or root sack like a bombonniere, they can blend in with your decor and limit the mess.
