Saunders Farm
Three words sum up what we think of Saunders Farm...SO MUCH FUN! After years of living in Ottawa we finally took a day out with friends and headed to Saunders. We are all so glad we did!
They offer a lot of various activities but we had a hilarious time trying to figure out all the mazes.
They have 11 mazes for all different skill levels. Why not come out and try one for yourself? You
can do it with friends or race each other to the finish (be careful – don't knock anyone over when
you are in there)!
Besides all the mazes, we were so impressed with all the other activities that the Farm had to
offer as well:
- North America's largest collection of hedge mazes and labyrinths
- water area
- play area
- wagon rides
- puppet shows
- observation areas
- picnic areas
- gardens
- huge 40foot slide
- gift shop with really unique gift ideas
- and so much more!
Here is information on their Summer season:
- open June 25 - September 6
- 10am - 5pm
Here is information on their Haunting Season (October):
- October 2010
- Opening Hours vary so call ahead in advance (please note that some nights may be too scary for young children to attend)
- We brought our young family last year and our children LOVED it. Besides all the activities, there were great photo opportunities with pumpkins. We all know how popular the "pumpkin photos" are in Ottawa in the Fall. They turned out great. We will definitely be returning in October 2010.
Saunders even has summer camps now. There are two camp sessions in 2010, one in July and one in August:
- July 5th – July 9th 2010
- August 9th – August 13th, 2010
The Farm is a great place for work parties, picnics, team building seminars and more. They can
accommodate groups from 50 to 5000. Just imagine how much fun you can have at your next
office party!

Remember that the Farm is for all age groups. We saw all different age groups having an amazing time with their family and friends. When we went recently, our group didn't have a single person under the age of 30 and we were all having just as much fun as the kids that were there!
So, hope you can make it out to the Farm.
