Three words sum up what we think of Saunders Farm…SO MUCH FUN! It really is one of our favourite places to go in Ottawa (with or without the kids).
The first time we went (many years ago), we went without kids. We weren’t sure if we would enjoy ourselves as a group of 30-something year olds. Boy, did we ever! We had so much fun going through all the various mazes. They have mazes for all different skill levels. Why not come out and try one for yourself? You can do it with friends or race each other to the finish (be careful though – don’t knock anyone over when you are in there or damage any of the mazes)!
Since we have had kids, we have been back every year with our children. We enjoy both the summer season and the Haunting season (in October). Our kids love it so much that we even bought a season’s pass last season. It was well worth it as we have been back numerous times and have enjoyed every single visit. We’ll definitely be getting another season’s pass for the upcoming season.
Besides all the mazes, Saunders offers so many other activities:
- North America’s largest collection of hedge mazes and labyrinths
- a splash pad;
- two Jumping Pillows (so much fun for ALL ages);
- cool playstructures;
- wagon rides;
- puppet shows;
- observation areas;
- lots of picnic areas;
- huge 40 foot slide;
- gift shop with really unique gift ideas
- and so much more!
Their Summer season is open during the summer months for individual families, summer camps, daycares, work groups, weddings etc. They have activities for everyone to enjoy!
One of the busiest times at Saunders is their Haunting Season:
- Daytime activities include a lot of the summer activities but also Daytime Haunted Hayride for kids (not too scary), pumpkin patch, Barn of Terror and more
- Nightime actitives include a haunted hayride, Barn of Terror, Gathering of the Ghouls and more

The Farm is a great place for work parties, picnics, team building seminars and more. They can accommodate groups from 50 to 5000. Just imagine how much fun you can have at your next office party!
